Rhine Cruise from Frankfurt or other location close to Frankfurt

Thinking about taking the rhine cruise for a day. I will be staying in frankfurt and wondering how do I go about booking a DAY tour Rhine Cruise. Also would you start in Frankfurt or somewhere else. Does anyone know of any good day rhine cruise tours Thanks.

www.k-d.de. I think you can display it in English.

K-D is definitely the biggest of the Rhine-cruise lines. I don't think they come up as far as Frankfurt. I think the best part of the Rhine is from Bacharach to St. Goar (you get to see both the Loreley and the Pfalzgrafenstein toll castle). Consider taking the train to Bacharach, the boat to St. Goar, and the train back to Frankfurt. Spend some time in Bacharach and St. Goar (Rheinfels castle ruins).

Lee is suggesting starting your cruise from either Bacharach or St Goar because you can't start your Rhine cruise from Frankfurt--it's not located on the Rhine. As Lee suggests, start your cruise in either Bacharach or St Goar and cruise between the two--those towns are both about a 90 minute train ride from Frankfurt airport.

If you go from Bacharach to St. Goar, you go with the current, and it takes 40 minutes. If you go St. Goar to Bacharach, against the current, it takes 70 minutes. So I guess in the later case you get more time for your money.
