Anyones opinions on best point from which to visit the big Castle would be helpful. I have reservations in both spots, but need to cancel one. We are traveling from the Black Forest to one of these. Sorry I am so wishy washy (for those who have responded already). I am in the home stretch as far as hotel decisions. I leave on the 31st.

I'll repeat my recommendation for Nesselwang, for the reasons given previously.

In 2002, my wife and I made two bus trips from Oberstdorf to Fuessen/Hohenschwagau. We went through both Nesselwang and Pfronten. I was so impressed with Pfronten, I could not wait to get back and spend time there, which I finally did in 2009, and it met my expectations. I've never been back to Nesselwang. 'Nough said. BTW, I'm sure Nesselwang is a nice enough place, it's just that nothing caught my eye like Pfronten did. As long as I could find a place to stay in Pfronten, which is closer to Fuessen, that's where I would go.
