I have an Avis car rental and am getting a little nervous about the return. I know how to get to the airport and will leave with plenty of extra time but can't find any info on the rental return area. A quick drive by through the terminal entrance (by accident!) didn't show any signs. Anyone ever done this?

The return is actually next to the terminal & you have to walk a short way to get over. I was nervous about this when we went in July but it was very easy. If you pass the airport going west there are signs for the rental car return.

When I arrive the day before departure I always drive to the airport and search for the return point. Not having a deadline at that time, it is always easy to find.
Make the effort to arrive a day early and search for the return area. But even a few hours in advance makes it easier.

Nice has the easiest car return area of any airport
I've ever been to!
The return area is on the west side of the terminals
and you drive south (towards the sea); lots of signage.
There are shuttle busses right by the drop-off areas
to take you to your terminal.
