We will be staying 2 nights pre tour near PArc Monceau, 7th arr. any suggestions for places to eat breakfast, lunch, dinner? Basic food but not fast food please.

Parc Monceau is in the 8th. You might try parisbymouth.com. A lot of the expensive restaurants are in the 8th but there is Bread and Rose which should be good and less expensive.
But even if you are staying in the 8th, it is very easy to get around Paris. Why not just go to the restaurants of your choice regardless of the arrondissment?

There's a street market on the rue Levis just north of Parc Monceau, good place to get a picnic lunch. Don't know the restaurants there.
