Beginning on April 1st, my wife and I will be staying in the 17th for a week or so, a few blocks from the Arc de Triumph, close to the Terne Metro stop. Does anyone here know of some nice restaurants in the area for supper?
You know, the reality is that you do NOT need a specific restaurant name in Paris....just walk down any street and look at the posted menus to determine if the place is right for you. My husband and I have been to Paris 15 times over a period of 20 years. (staying from 2 to 10 days at a time) ..we ALWAYS end whatever european adventure we have in Paris...as it NEVER disappoints...including two New Year's Eve's in the city of Light!! You don't need names....just walk and enjoy.....there are restaurants and bistros EVERYWHERE....ENJOY!
Part of the fun of Paris is finding your own restaurant. get off the main streets. Find a restaurant where everyone sits at long tables where you find a place and sit with locals you dont know. Whatever you order will be good. And drink the wine of the house. You will probably find yourself going back to that restaurant again and again
This probably isn't what you're looking for, but there's a little cafeteria about a block from the Arc de Triomphe on Wagram Strasse, call the Monte Carlo.
Morris, check out La Fermette Marbeuf at 5 rue Marbeuf, 75008. You can walk to it from the Arc de Triomphe area. It is very beautiful and the food is wonderful. www.fermettemarbeuf.com
