Is the Eiffel Tower still only running one lift? If I plan to walk up to the second level and skip the third, do I still need to make a reservation?

Kerri , you cannot make reservations or pre purchase tickets for the stairs. Just show up. If you decide to go up to the top from the second level you can decide that when you are there on the second level since you can buy tickets for the elevator to the top right there. So if there for some reason is a short line you may decide to go for it,, personally I think the view from the 2nd level is great and you will be pleased enough with that. And yes, its still running only one lift. You can easily check daily on the ET website to see when they get back on track, but many are saying ( on another forum I go on there are quite a few locals who post) that they expect it to be another month at least.
