RER to CDG

A friend and I will be taking the RER (with luggage) from the Port-Royal stop to CDG on an early June Saturday morning, probably around 8 am for 12:30 and 1 pm flights. Is this a super-busy time on the RER? Should we leave even earlier to assure seats? What do we look for to make sure we're getting on the train that goes to CDG and not the one that splits off? We prefer RER to taxi or shuttle due to the huge cost difference.

Thanks

In any case you can't be sure you have seats. You may have them.. on then not. It's only 20 minutes ride.

You have to take the B3-RER. The one that has as terminus "Aéroport-CDG 2".
Then you leave the train at terminus OR just before, depending in which terminal your flight leaves.

You won't have any problems. I've taken the RER to CDG around that time on a saturday morning and it was pretty dead. The trains are quite long so they can fit a lot of people, don't worry.

The RATP site says that the ride will take between 39 and 44 minutes, depending upon how many stops the train makes. As a train approaches the station, the electronic sign board will tell you where it is going. If CDG isn't on the list of stops, wait for another train.
