RER Invalides Stop

I've never been to Paris (which will be obvious by my question).
I am planning on catching the RER -C line to Versailles at the Invalides stop. I looked at the "street view" on Google Earth to view the location near the stop. I expected to see some sort of a subway or station entrance near Quai D'Orsay and Av du Mal Gallieni and found nothing. Can someone describe where the station is really located? Thanks.

Working from a very vague memory but thought that it was an underground station at that point and entry was through a building like structure and not a typical sidewalk subway entrance. Your hotel can direct you or the local TI once you are there.

Frank, Thanks for your response. But pretty obvious where to go once you are there?/

The RER runs right along the Siene there. You'll find it nearby. Don't forget that there are multiple RER trains along that line that will split off once out of central Paris. Make sure you are on the one to Versailles Rive Gauche. The trip to Versailles is not part of the central Paris metro zone. If you have a pass or multiple tickets, they will not work and you'll get caught in the station at the end. Make sure you buy tickets all the way to Versailles.

Sam, Thanks much. That's a perfect visual. Douglas, Thanks for the reminder about multiple trains and that the tickets are different than Metro
