RER "B" at CDG question

I seem to have enough change left over from my previous trip to buy an RER ticket to Paris from CDG (now 8.50 Euros), but I was wondering -- if the ticket machines don't take paper money, do they have any machines that make change -- like, you put in a 5 Euro bill, and it gives you change?

Yes, that I know -- I said so in my post.

I was just wondering if there were any other machines that dispense coins. Like, if you only have paper money, is the only alternative to stand in line at the ticket counter?

The ticket machines do not take paper money. I did a google search and couldn't find any reference to change machines. However, I found references to there being HSBC Bank branch offices in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

Tyler - I seem to remember change machines near the RER ticket machines. If I remember correctly, they changed 10 and 20 euro bills.

Tyler,

I don't recall seeing any change machines that will dispense coins when I was at CDG recently (but then I wasn't really looking for any).

You may want to have a look at the Paris by Train website, which states that the ticket machines will "only take coins or smart-chip enabled credit cards."

Cheers!

Or you can buy the ticket while you are still in the airport at the tourist information kiosk with paper money, maybe even credit card.
