Renting a flat in Paris

Has anyone rented from the agency Allorenta? They are apparently based in Switzerland. We are considering renting a flat from them for our upcoming visit to Paris. There is a Pay Pal option on their website. Please advise!

Hi Dean,
... VacationInParis [a USA company with HQ in New Jersey] enjoys a very good reputation with plenty of approvals in this web site by recent guests. Check out the offerings at the above web site. If you have questions, call them [toll free]. You could have the key to your way cool Paris apartment before you leave Silverdale.

Dean where there any references on their site?? I'm renting from Paris interiors and they posted refs. The person Thierry has been emailing me within 24 hours, and I am not stressed. Will find out if I did a good job in picking the place come in June, but otherwise, communication has been great!

Dean,

I am one of the recent Vacation in Paris renters. I will be leaving in a couple of weeks, but have already received my keys and information packet from VIP. They have answered all of my emails promptly, and did not hesitate to provide me with a list of references for the apartment I ended up renting. I decided on VIP because they are located in the US, offered PayPal as a payment option, and quoted all prices in $US, so I don't have to worry if the dollar falls any lower against the euro. Whatever you decide, have a fantastic trip!

Hi Dean--I'm another fan of vacationinparis. We used them last spring and had a terrific trip. We did have our keys before we left and found very explicit instruction when we arrived. Everything was as described and the company is based in New Jersey, so all communications were very easy, in English and in dollars. We had a local contact who was an ex-pat American. Sorry not to post a comment on Allorenta; I've never heard of them before, but someone on this site probably has.

We are also renting an apt from Vacationinparis. The person I spoke with was very familiar with the properties and had been in Paris the previous month and it was possible to hear pros/cons of the apts. They seem to book up months ahead--we assumed 3 months ahead was sufficient time but we ended up with an apt that was our 6th choice. We are staying in the Marais this time so it will be a new adventure. I am a bit concerned about the key being sent on time as we will be in Spain before the Paris visit. We like the fact that you pay in US Dollars too.

I have not rented from Allorenta.I rented an apartment in March 2008 from vacationinparis.com and I was very happy with the process and rental.
