I will be staying in Lauterbrunnen for about 10 days this summer with wife and B6 and B3. Have been to Berner Oberland twice before so I am familiar with the area. Looking to save some money by renting an apartment, instead of using hotel. We like Lauterbrunnen because the train station is so convenient and on rainy days we do day trips to Bern, Luzern, etc. Any good rental recommendations?

In 2008, we stayed in Apartment Stockli in Lauterbrunnen. It is only for 2-3 people, but in the same building is a larger apartment that might work for you. It is not fancy, but very comfortable and has a lovely view on the waterfall in Lauterbrunnen. Sorry, I can't remember the name of the waterfall, but if you are familiar with Lauterbrunnen, you will know what I mean. The owner is responsive to emails and the location of the building can't be beat. It is on the main street but faces the mountain and not the street, so we didn't notice a lot of noise.
