Any suggestions for rental of an automatic car in France? The only place I've found that lists automatic cars to rent is Hertz, and I don't drive a manual.

We rented an auto out of Paris and dropped it in Nice. Finding an automatic is not difficult unless it is last minute reservations because then they just might have run out.
We used Hertz for an automatic with a pick up in Paris - no problem.
Another one to check is Europcar - I'm sure they have them.
Finally, Autoeurope, which is a broker based in Maine, does lots of rentals in France. I'm sure that some of them are automatics. Google will find them for you.
We used Hertz last fall too. You have to specifically request an automatic. We had no problems and I'd use them again.
We always rent an automatic from Hertz. We rent from Orly because it is easier to get in and out of. I would like to recommend a GPS, too. We always take our own.We like to rent a Prius because it gets great mileage.
Joan,
Vehicles with auto transmissions are not as common in Europe, so I've found it's necessary to arrange the rental as far in advance as possible. I'm also very proficient with a manual transmission, but often a bit "lazy" so I usually order an auto.
Cheers!
Many thanks to all of you for your suggestions! I will check further!
Be prepared to pay a lot more for it. We found that renting a manual was literally half the price of an automatic. It might be worth learning!
