Looking to rent a car but the taxes/sur-charges at the airport are over $200 more than away (for 30 day rental)- BUT not sure which location(city/town) is the better one that would have easy access to by train/bus/taxi from airport. Avis or Hertz either one. thanks in advance for any advice. (this is for 4 adults - cheapest way out :)

Sandra, I used Europcar when I was in Munich this past spring. I didn't get the car until leaving Munich, as you really don't need one while there. I picked my car up from the city center location which is about 2 blocks from the main train station.

Use kayak.com and uncheck all the expedia, travelocity, orbitz baloney and you'll find exactly what you need. Gemut, autoeurope, etc, have never done the deal for me , this based on roughly three, month-long rentals annually for the last seven evers.
