When in Italy, it's easy to find Religious guest houses to stay in. I found the Sisters of the Assumption in Florence through Rick's book "Back Door in Florence". Also the book "Monasteries and Convents Guest Houses in Italy." Also, the Santa Susanna web site run by the Paulist Fathers in Rome. Are there similar resources available for France (specifically Paris) and Switzerland (specifically Geneva)?

There is a place by Sacre Coeur Church in Paris Montmartre but they are most interested in pilgrims rather than lodging guests. But if that works for you ck the SC website for a ref.
