We've stayed in many areas in France and have had great 2 to 3 star hotels but I'm having a hard time finding a good hotel for 3 nights in Reims. Everything that look promising gets trashed on TripAdvisor. Does anyone have a suggestion? How about the Hotel Porte du Mars? Thanks!!
The Porte Mars (not Porte du Mars) is listed in the Michelin Red Guide in its "assez confortable" category, thus you can have confidence that it's comfortable enough. Tripadvisors is a great service but my personal theory on it is that human nature is such that people who have a complaint are more likely to submit a review, thus it may be that only 10% were displeased but they constitute 50% of the total reviews (just a theory).
