Hello: I will be visiting the Regensburg X-Mas market this year with my family. We will be driving. Any recommendations re where to stay that has easy vehicle access? I do not want to get caught up in the X-Mas market traffic. Thanks in advance. Steve W. Dayton, Ohio.

We stayed at the Parkhotel Maximilian which had its own underground garage. We got the hotel at a discount on HRS.com during the low season. It was nice but normally too expensive for our tastes. It is at the edge of the pedestrian zone and near the Thurn & Taxis Residenz, so it is near both Christmas Markets.

It is also not far from the Hotel Weidenhof, which was a bit more reasonable.

Both hotels are 2-3 blocks from the Bahnhof (train station) and there is a parking garage behind the train station. There are a number of hotels within walking distance of the train station. Both Christmas Markets are walking distance from the train station.

Enter the map. Go to Verkehr, Parken, Parkhäuser. I had to play with it a bit to find the right boxes to click on.
We arrived by train so I can not vouch for any of the park houses.
