Recommendations Beaune area B&B's

I would appreciate any recommendations for B&B's or hotels in either the town of Beaune or the surrounding area. I've been checking the ones listed in Rick Steve's but would appreciate other recommendations of those that are listed or others. Merci
PS We will not be traveling until next May.

A couple of years ago I stayed in the Henry IV I think it was - a best western hotel (!!) just outside one of the main gates to the city. Very nice, restaurant as well. Would stay again if I were there. Beaune and the surrounding countryside is a very fascinating place.

I've been to Beaune two times and both places we stayed at were very nice. The first visit was with a Rick Steves Tour. On that occasion we stayed at the Hotel Des Remparts. It was centrally located and the hotel has great charm. Their was a small center courtyard and a very nice breakfast. The second time in Beaune my wife and I were in a rental car and stayed at La Villa Fleurie. This is just outside the central part of town off the ring road. It was very convenient with a car and still only a 5-10 minute stroll into the town center. The B & B was also charming and the hostess was typically French, formal yet helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were very nice. I would recommend either of these accomodations.

Sue, if you are travelling by car I can recommend bed and breakfast Val en Sel in St. Pere sous Vezelay, which is north of Beaune. South of Beaune I suggest Domaine Corgette in Saint-Romain. Write if you have specific questions.

Hi Sue, my husband and I stayed at Domaine des Anges in Puligny Montrachet. It is about a 15 minute drive to Beaune through beautiful vineyards. We highly recommend this Chambres D'hôtes. The hosts are very nice people and she is a fabulous cook. They offer afternoon tea everyday at 5:00pm. They get well deserved high ratings on Trip Advisor. The only caveat: because this is a Chambres d'hôtes and not a traditional B&B, you do have to vacate the premises from something like 11:00am - 5:00pm. This was not a problem at all for us as we were always out exploring the area during the day.

Would highly recommend La Maison des Abeilles in nearby Magney-les-villers. The rooms vary a bit in how "nice" they are, but the location is great - quiet, beautiful scenery, and close to Beaune, but on the way to Dijon. Great hostess, too.

We stayed at Chez Marie B&B about a year ago. Great location in town and near the train station.
