Recent experience in Strasbourg

I've searched the archives but most experiences are several years old. I may have the chance for a full day in Strasbourg next month and wonder if you have any recent hints about anything new to see or good catches on the hotel front. Thanks

I was just there last week. The Museum for the Notre Dame Cathedreal will be re-opening at the end of the month to showcase a special exhibit by a particular 15th century sculptor. I was really bummed that I didn't get to see the museum (again!) last time due to the closure. If you haven't been, it really puts the Cathedral and the artistry of it in context. Other than that, I'm not aware of anything new, but spring will be sprunging so it might be a good time to visit the Orangerie gardens. If you're there early, the savory breakfast at Aux Armes De Strasbourg (at Place Gutenburg) was surprisingly good, despite it looking like a really touristy joint. For 4.90 you get baked eggs, local bacon and sausages, baguette, and coffee. Best deal we found.
