Reassure me-train from Brugges to Schipol

We are novice Euro train travelers and we will be traveling from Bruges to Schipol; when we purchase our tickets in Bruges will be get a "detailed" itinerary showing all the stops and also telling us when to switch trains? I have viewed different train timetables on the Deutsche Bahn site and could print many scenerios from home or just rely on the ticket booth...yeesh, I thought this would be a breeze!!

Ask the ticket agent to print the schedule. When they did it for us it came out on a little strip of paper with stops, times, and track numbers for changes. Also ask the conductor when checking your tickets if you have any question. We found the Dutch to be extremely friendly and helpful. It is a breeze. When we travel we rarely consult a train schedule from home. Really no need to. Trains go all the time. Generally hit the ticket office a day or two before and say, We want to leave here around 10 AM to go to XX, what are the best options? They will provide two or three -- pick one. Or we say we need to be at X by 4 PM, what do you suggest? Train travel is one area that we do very little pre-planning. We will miss some advance purchase discounts that way but that is the price we pay for convenience and flexibility.

It's pretty easy. From the main Brugge rail station, go to Antwerpen. Then catch either the hourly ICE or Thalys train to Amsterdam (depending on which ticket you bought). Schipol is the last stop before Amsterdam Centraal.
