Hello, My husband and 8 year old daughter will be in Paris this June for 3 days over a weekend. I have looked through a lot of Rick's choices online and they are either already booked or too pricey. We don't need a lift or any extras, just clean and easy to get to from Metro.Any suggestions on areas or hotels would be appreciated. Also, I have only been to Paris once before and don't know my way around too well. We fly into CDG and I have no idea whats the best way to get into the city? Thank you!
Another very good hotel is Hotel de L'Avre. It's very reasonably priced. It's by a great metro stop: La Motte Picquet-Grenelle, which is the hub for 3 lines which makes it easy to get places. There's a great store there called the Monoprix which has a grocery store, and the twice weekly outdoor market (best one, imo) is right there as well. The hotel is very nice, very clean and cheerful. They have a really nice garden where you can relax and/or have breakfast. The owner and the staff are extremely nice, warm, friendly and very helpful. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms large, modern and spotlessly clean. It's a great hotel and a great value. It also rates very high with TripAdvisor.com. It's on the border of the 15th and 7th arrondissement, and is appx 3 long blocks from the park at the Eiffel Tower. You can google it and see photos.
My favorite place to stay in Paris is this:
Hotel du Palais Bourbon
49 rue de Bourgogne, Paris 75007, France

It's in the 7th, near the Varenne Metro stop, and a short walk from Les Invalides, and just a few blocks away from Eiffel Tower. It's a great location and even has some family rooms if they're available. As you've seen, Paris has an overwhelming amount of hotels in all price categories and of course in every Arondissment.
Bon Chance !
