Real Budget Hotes in Paris

I will be in Paris over New Years this year and I need some advice on a cheap but nice place to stay. I am an American student studying in Reims so I don't have too much money to spend, thus my budget is 90E or less for a double room. Sadly, the other posts about budget hotels are a bit out of my price range or they don't have rooms.

Thanks for the advice!

Mr. Bed will run a little less than that. It's a funny name - but a decent place near the Bagnolet metro station and a nice shopping center. I stayed there a few years back. Here are some reviews; 3 stars on Tripadvisor:

Hotel Kuntz is more centrally located near the est station - surprisingly quiet. Management helpful, English spoken. Older furnishings but clean, also under 90 Euros; it gets 3.5 stars on Tripadvisor:

Try looking for cheap (I don't know about nice) rooms in ROUGH GUIDES or LET'S GO books. I have stayed at Hotel du Commerce in Paris' 5th several times. I think Hotel Republique or Hotel du Turenne would fit your budget. If you like nightlife, staying in the Latin Quarter (5th) might suit you better than some of the other more "conservative" areas of Paris. If you want two beds, specify "twin." Otherwise, a double will usually be a double bed.

I found this Mama Shelter hotel online once and have been wanting to go to Paris just to try it out, cause it looks like a fun place to stay. A single room over New Years is running between and 79 and 99 euro per night. If you reserve a room with no cancellation, you get it cheaper.

Etap hotel on Rue Dr. Babinski is around 58-65 Euro per night, per room which holds 3, ensuite. Beside it is hotelformule1, not ensuite, for 10 Euro less per night. Nothing fancy but a safe place to stay. Breakfast is 7E and it is an all you can eat. I paid at the hotel and it was cheaper than paying for breakfast online when booking.

How long are you staying? Would an apt. be better? I know one that rents for around 300 per week for 2.

I know I am coming in late on this, but I stayed here last year:

A double should be close to 80E. It is definitely budget accommodations but clean and safe. The staff was wonderful, and it is in a nice area, near Rue Cler, the metro and several eateries.

I liked:

Hotel de Nevers Paris 11e
53 Rue de Malte, 75011 Paris, France

I stayed there a year ago and paid 62 euro a night for a double with bathroom ensuite.
