Has anyone tried the self-guided bike tours offered by Randonee or Discover France? I'm guessing the baggage transfer service and long-term bike rentals are worth the price, but I'd be interested in anyone who's tried to go it alone too.

For Self-guided go with Discover France. Loren the owner is great, and does a super job. For guided - we go with DuVine Adventures in France. www.duvine.com

We have done two self-guided trips with Randonee, three with Scottish Cycling Holidays, two with Formum International. We were pleased with all of them. The Randonee trips cost more than the others, but they had the best bikes and the best service. I think they are worth the extra money.
