Rainy days in Switzerland

We are heading to europe in 2 days and will be in Lauterbrunnen the first of next week. Right now forecast is calling for rain every day we are there. I know the weather can be fickle so we'll have to be flexible but curious of any suggestions for day trips that are not too bad from the BO if the rain is just too heavy to do anything outdoors. We did buy swiss rail passes months ago taking this into consideration so ticket costs is not an issue.
Already thinking of Lucerne (but no Pilatus and rodelbahn if rainy), Thun/Spiez, maybe Montreaux and Chateau Chillon, and then Bern (we'll actually already be spending a 1/2 day there on our way to Paris though. We'll have 3 full days to fill so hopefully they aren't all washed out. Just trying to be fully prepared though in case we can't do/see much near Lauterbrunnen besides Trumm. falls and a gondola ride up to Murren, etc.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Sorry to hear about the bad weather in the Berner Oberland. It may be that no one has replied because you have already listed the available alternatives. It's the downside of being in a place like the BO or Cinque Terre that offers mainly outdoor and scenery things to do: if it rains there are not so many indoor things to do. The BO is big time mountains and big time mountains create their own fickle weather since large air masses are pushed up, they cool, and clouds and rain often result from that process. The alternatives you listed are your best bet.

It often seemed to me that rainy days were on/off affairs. We love to walk places and just take an umbrella when we go. One of my favorite walks in Europe was up a the end of the Lauterbrunnen valley, but we did have sun.

A lot of folks do not care for Bern but we really enjoyed it. There are not a lot of heavy tourist sights but the town itself is beautiful as is the view from the bridge across the Aar River. We just liked to stroll the town, finding the decorative statues and enjoying an occasional cafe.

Ballenberg Museum is not too bad in rain (unless it is a downpour). Went on a cloudy drizzly day, ate in the cafe/rest. I've not done the caves on Thunsee, but this might be an option.
