Rails, bus trips and hotels in Southern Spain

I will be traveling in Southern Spain this Sept. The best I can figure I will need at least 6 train rides and 4 bus trips. Should I buy a Flexpass? In the US? or Spain? Also would like to visit small cities, such as Arcos, Marabella, Malaga, Granada, and up the coast to Valencia. Any suggestions on transportation and hotels?

What's your route outline? Generally speaking, trains aren't that expensive in Spain, and a Eurail pass is probably not worth it. Buses on many routes (other than the high-speed AVE) are just as fast as trains, and dirt-cheap. You can compare point to point fares and schedules at www.renfe.es, and for the bus at www.movelia.es

Thank you, I arrive in Madrid, stay for 4 nights w/one day trip to Toledo. The train to Sevilla for 4 nights, then Cordoba, over to Arcos, then to Granada, Ronda, down to Malaga and somehow up the coast to Valencia and Barcelona. I have 24 days to do this trip. Any suggestions, revisions, recommendations are highly welcomed and gratefully received.
Thank you
