railpass confusion

We're taking a trip over Xmas from London to Paris and from Paris to Interlaken. We'll then go to Salzburg and Vienna before going home. I've looked at all the various railpasses but I'm not sure about what is the best value. We really only have 3 train trips (Paris to Interlaken and Interlaken to Salzburg and Salzburg to Vienna). But we want to go to Jungfrau and we also have the trip on the Eurostar. I understand that we get discounts if we have a railpass for the Eurostar and that a Swisspass gets us a 50% discount, where as other passes won't.

I'm so confused at this point. I figured out that point to point tickets are about 370 dollars (not including the Jungfrau or Eurostar). But a 3 country saver pass is 410 or so. I'm not going to scrimp 30 dollars if it will save us money on the other trips or save us time in making reservations with local rail lines.

Can anyone suggest the best route to go?
Thanks!

Cynthia,
I've only taken a quick glance at some of the #'s but I think point to point is the way to go and should be cheaper than the 370 you mentioned. If you buy your Paris to Interlaken in advance on sncf.com you can get that ticket for 40 euro(about $56-57 right now). Swiss rail (sbb.com) has special online only fares from Zurich to salzburg for (bought one week out or less from trip) 47sf and combined with a ticket from Interlaken to Zurich could get you Interlaken to Salzburg for around ($80-85). I didn't check the Salzburg - Vienna price but can't imagine it would be too bad. I dont know how that factors with the discounts and all but hope that helps with finding some cheaper point to point tickets.

Thank you! I think the SNFC was the missing link I had, as the other site was quoting 159.00 for the Paris to Interlaken part of the trip. That kind of fare would definitely help. I'll be lucky if I don't end up in Siberia the way my planning is going!

Thanks!
