Are publications available listing german train schedules ?
I don't need anything except Germany and am willing to pay.

You can go to the following websites:
http://www.raileurope.com & click single tickets & cities that you want to go. Also you can check the German Rail website http://www.bahn.de it appears in German but there is an English version.

To leaf through a complete list of German train schedules would be pretty overwhelming. I like to use the Die Bahn website mentioned above. It gives a wealth of information. I use the following template in English:
http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en
If you are looking for bargains on shorter routes, change the "Means of Transport" to "only local transport." There are further state and local tickets that can save you money. You might just ask further questions as your itinerary gets settled.
