Hello Amy. I used them back in September of 2008. If you are carless, they are a perfect solution. Just don't expect them to be anything BUT transportation to the chateaux. Our driver was a curmudgeon of a man that didn't crack one smile until he took us to the wine tasting (hoping we'd buy so he could get a kickback). One of the most disagreeable people I've ever met, but he didn't ruin our trip one bit. We were able to cross FOUR chateaux off of our list and it really was a lovely weekend. Just remember, you do not get a "tour." You get chauffeured to the chateaux where you pay to to enter. They are simply a transportation service. I highly recommend staying in Tours if you can. It's a charming town,and Place Plumereau is a fun night spot. I studied abroad there when I was in my undergrad and am going back this summer to take a teacher training course.
