Heading from CDG to Tours on the TGV. As I see online, I can pre-book an online ticket to pick up the TGV right at CDG airport. How convenient is that? Does the TGV then make its way to the Gare Montparnasse, stops and pick up passengers, then continues its way to Tours? Or, is there something else I'm no seeing here, such as although we booked the TGV from CGD, we're really taking the RER into central Paris, then transferring to another metro line to make our way to the Gare Montparnasse? Thanks!

The TGVs that stop at CDG are through trains from Lille to western and southern France that avoid the need to cross Paris by metro. They don't go to Montparnasse, instead they travel in a loop through the east and south suburbs of Paris and then head west to Tours.
