Question regarding itinerary

Hello, I am trying to see which itineray i should use, which one sounds better to both, i have been to all of these citys besides dublin recently

my entire trip is 15 days, i am doing 13 days because of the travel to and from europe

1st day early morning land in Frankfurt, afternoon train to Berlin, 3 nights berlin, then train to Prague, 3 nights there, plane to Dublin 3 nights then plane to Paris 3nights, final night in Frankfurt to rest up for early flight home

The other one is just shorter for Prague and Dublin by a day allowing 4 nights in Berlin and 4 nights in Paris, is Prague and Dublin okay for 2 nights each?

actually i think revisiting places is great, but also i had a flu for 1/2 of berlin and all of prague

I am flying in and out of Frankfurt because of a good rate

I should also add that my earlier trip i was alone, this time a buddy of mine is coming along who hasnt been to mainland europe before

Others might disagree but I think that 2 nights in Prague and Dublin would be o.k.--I think that Paris and Berlin deserve 4 nights each. Could you delete Dublin and add the time to the other destinations for a more relaxed trip? If you're looking to add something different from your last trip what about other destinations in Germany, France, or the Czech Republic?

Dublin and Frankfurt seem like geographical outliers here.

Is Frankfurt part of your itinerary only because of cheap flights? If not, consider rearranging your itinerary to go from west to east: Dublin-Paris-Berlin-Prague. Less jetlag that way.

Separately, why go to places you've already been?

the ryanair flight from prague to dublin then back to paris its pretty cheap and quick.

It might be this time, but the Low Fare Airlines are deceiving. Make sure you account for all the extra time and cost of getting to/from the remote airports they use. Also make sure you look at all the extra taxes and fees (booking fees, checkin fees, checked luggage charges, etc) that they tack onto the seemingly low price.

RyanAir doesn't fly to Paris (CDG or Orly); they use Beauvais, which is over an hour by bus from the No. suburbs of Paris, more to downtown.

You certainly have a lot of ground to cover. It's your trip, but I would pull back a bit and concentrate on a specific geographic region. When I first started traveling abroad, I would move every day and cover hundreds of miles, similar to what you have proposed. I suppose I have learned to avoid the inherent monotony encountered at the airports, rail stations. Time spent in transit packed into a plane or train versus time exploring the area on your own terms. Happy travels!

well, that does make sense, see ive already got the tickets for in/out frankfurt.. but now im debateing weather or not to goto Rome instead of Paris, since I already did this trip 5 months ago (except dublin).. maybe 3 nights Berlin, 2 nights Prague, 3 Dublin and 4 Rome, 1 frankfurt for next early morn flight...

I do hear that Rome is unmissable

Your "great rate" flying through Frankfurt (versus into Berlin and out of Paris or Dublin) is costing you nearly 2 of your precious 13 days, plus train fare from Frankfurt to Berlin and Paris to Frankfurt.

Maybe there's a great open-jaws rate too. Good luck!

yes, that is true... unfortunatly the ticket is already purchased...

I am going to be going to Berlin, Prague, Dublin and Paris, (rome will wait for an all italy trip),

Im thinking of doing 3 nights Berlin, 3 nights Prague, 2 nights Dublin and 4 nights Paris, plus the last night in Frankfurt..., my question is, is Dublin okay for 2 nights? Im really want the extra night for Paris.

I will be flying to Dublin on say a thursday afternoon and leaving on a Saturday afternoon to Paris.

Dublin will be fine in 2 nights. I was there for three and I felt that it was too much and I was regretting not spending that extra night in London. I was in Paris twice for three nights each before and I would have loved to have stayed longer. I have never been to Prague before (this May though!) so I can't help you there!

If you leave Frankfurt on the 07:30 train, you will be in Berlin by 11:30. Almost a full day of sightseeing. You might want to leave some time for sightseeing in Frankfurt though too, as there is plenty to see here. Why not sightsee in Frankfurt your first day after arrival and then leave early the next morning for Berlin. After flying all night long, you might not be all excited about going and sitting on a train for 4 more hours of travel.

No it isn't. To really dig deep and soak it up, a 7 night stay in a city is perfect, unless you have a year to travel.
Three days in Paris???? My friend, you jest!
You will probably be spending about two of your precious 24 hour periods travelling...buying tickets, standing in line, waiting for the train, taking the trip, detraining and getting reoriented to a new city...wastng time, precious time when you could dawdle or see another incrdible sight in Paris or Berlin. What I am saying is slow down and really enjoy your days to their fullest, without spending it all on a train.
