We have an Easyjet flight to Venice from CDG at 8:25am on a Sunday and we're trying to figure out if we should take the Metro/RER/Bus system or taxi. We plan on leaving around 5:30am to head out to the airport. Any suggestions?
Be aware that the RER B line divides northeast of Paris. Be sure to get on a train that is going to CDG.
The question is, will the metro line(s) you would need to take from your hotel to the closest RER B station start running in time for you to catch the RER B to CDG? If the metro line(s) you will need to use do not start running early enough, you could take a taxi from your hotel to the nearest RER B station.
I'll use the Denfert-Rochereau RER B station as a reference point. On Sundays the first RER B train that passes through that station and goes to CDG departs at 05:18 and arrives at CDG 2 TGV at 05:58. The next CDG-bound train departs at 05:33 and arrives at 06:14. The next one departs at 05:39 and arrives at 06:25. The next one departs at 05:54 and arrives at 06:35. And the next one departs at 06:00 and arrives at 06:46.
Take a private shuttle. Pay the extra. You need to be there early. What gate are you flying from? Better to have a shuttle or cab drop you off at the correct gate. Easyjet adheres to their schedule departure stricly. You do not want to be late.
easyJet uses Terminal 2B.
Adding to my previous post. If you give me either the name of the closest metro station to your hotel or the hotel's name or address, I'll check the timetables for the metro line(s) you would need to take to the nearest RER B station.
