While in the process of putting together our scrapbook of our Spain trip last May a question comes to mind. What is the significance of the ceraqmic bowls placed in many of the rooms at the Alhambra? I wondered about these bowls on the visit and now as I see them in pics I am once again curious. Surely they are not water bowls for the stray cats? Cannot remember if there was water in the bowls.

Not sure exactly what you are refering to. There are some bowls that are part of fountains - the water gurgled out of them and then along channels. They'd be at the center of the rooms with channels running from them. If these were just bowls in corners with water in them, then they're probably for cats.
