We will be in Amsterdam April 30th during the Queen's Birthday celebration. Has anyone ever been there during that time of year. What can we expect? Will museums be open? Thanks in advance for your help.

It's a big deal; a giant street party. All the tourist attractions will be closed and the trams will not be running, and the streets will be closed to all car traffic: http://www.amsterdam.info/queensday/

Wow Michael, that's incredible. We will be arriving on the 29th. We hope to leave our rental car at a park and ride and bus/tram into the city. This is all new to us. I hope we can make it work.
