Our flight won't be arriving in Amsterdam until 10:00 p.m./22:00 in late June and we will be hopping on the #300 bus from Schiphol to get to Haarlem. Where would be the best place in Schiphol at such a late hour to purchase Strippenkaarts, or should we just purchase them on the bus? My understanding is that it is more expensive to buy them on the bus but after a long flight, might it just be easier buy them on the bus? Thank you.

There are machines which sell the Strippenkaarts and the unlimited pass (only valid in Amsterdam) scattered though out the airport. I've seen them in the luggage hall, and the rail station area-look for the "GVB" logo. The machines are very temperamental and only take exact change and small bills in perfect condition. If it were me I'd just buy it from the driver, and get yourself to the hotel ASAP:)
