Purchasing German Rail Tickets

Looking for confirmation of my experience of purchasing rail tickets on web at www.bahn.de Hoping some of the Germany residents can chime in. I am purchasing tickets for 3 adults. The purchasing system only tracks my name on the tickets purchased. The tickets will not include the names of either of my 2 travel partners (wife & daughter). Is this normal? Thanks

I've purchased online (discount) tickets from the Bahn on several occasions, and, on the pdf file they send you to print out, there is only one name, the name that is also on the credit card used for identification. The only indication of other people on the ticket is in the top box, where it shows the number of "Erw:" - Erwachsene, or adults.

What Lee said... they use the name and number on the credit card to validate tickets printed at home. If you bought the tickets at the station, this information is not included.

Be sure to have the credit card used to purchase the tickets with you, even if it has expired and you no longer use it.
