Pueblos Blanco Road Trip

We are planning to drive from Nerja to Ronda to tour some towns over a couple of days. We have only one night for Ronda and the next day will head to Sevilla. Would it be best to visit Ronda and Zahara for part of a day and on the next day head to Grazalema for Arcos and then on to Sevilla or do Zahara and on to Sevilla

If I had only one night to spend in the white hill towns, I'd make it Arcos. We overnighted in Arcos and Ronda last fall (right about now, come to think of it...) and although Ronda was definitely cool, we thought Arcos was even better. One of the magical highlights of our trip, in fact. Grazalema was nice, but not in the same league.

I'll second David's comments...Arcos de la Frontera was worth a night's stay...lots to explore, good food, and good accomodations.

Since you're only staying one night on the road, and since you're leaving from Nerja, you could spend 4 or 5 hours on the drive to Ronda, branching out northwest from Malaga to visit some of the little hill villages on the way to Ronda. If you have time, Zahara is about half an hour beyond Ronda...you could head there for a visit, then come back to Ronda for your overnight...a lovely town by night. Then up early the next morning, stop in Grazalema, then onto Arcos for most of the day before heading to Sevilla for the night.
I would suggest a fairly early start to your day from Nerja as well, both to maximize your time in the villages, and to avoid the crazy crazy rush hour traffic on the A-7 around Malaga. Their rush hour seems to run from about 8 am to 930 or later.
