Puces de Vanvers - directions

Hi - How do we get to Puces on Sat from the Marais? I'm not sure from the map where the connections are. Suggestions on going through the place, what not to miss and what to skip? Any other opinion/info would be enjoyed. Merci

Lots of ways. Take the 7 to Porte d'Ivry and change to the 3 to Porte de Vanves.

When you come up out of the metro at porte des Vanves go straight across the street where there is a nice little cafe...turn right and go down about a block...the market is on your left and goes down the street quite far. Be sure to go early...if you get tired the little cafe by the metro is great....you can sit inside or out. We love the market at Porte des Vanves.I collect hand tinted French postcards and my husband looks at old photos and other photographica. There is something for everyone...but remember go early!!!

I've been to the Porte de Vanves market once, summer 2010, and it was very small. It was just one walkway with tables and displays on either side as you walk. The one at Porte de Vanves was very different from the one at Clignancourt. Much smaller, no strategy to it. I enjoyed it. Actually, I like them both.

Get there by 9 it can take a couple of hours to get from one end to the other. Vendors start leaving anytime after noon or one. We have always come back with good stuff, remember to bargain, it is fun and they expect it.
