We're trying to avoid renting a car but still want to stay at Mont Sainte Odile monastery for 1 night in June. We will spend the day in Strasbourg, sleep at Mont Sainte Odile, explore around it the next day then head on to Colmar which will be our base for the next 2 days while doing the Wine road tour by public transportation also. Are we sacrificing too much time if we rely on public transportation for this itinerary? Can't find any info about this on Rick Steves' guidebooks.
