public transportation from Venice Cruise Terminal

Cruise terminal to Marco Polo Airport, cruise line quoted $158 (two), I'm thinking that is too high! Any bus or taxi better priced, what would the water taxi cost be!! Thanks,
Bill

That is the typical cruise line price but it is full service. Water taxi would be equally expensive and probably not needed. On our last cruise out of Venice we actually flew into Milan a couple days early, took the train over and a taxi to the ship. I am sure there will be a taxi from the airport.

The cruise ports are about a 15 minute walk to the Piazzale Roma bus area. I haven't come in on a cruise ship there so I'm not familiar with any port transportation from the ship to the bus area. Once at the Piazzale Roma, two bus lines have regular service to Marco Polo. ACTV and ATVO are the two bus lines. The fare is about 3 Euro per person. As Frank explains, the water taxi will easily be as much as the cruise line quote.
