We will be spending a week in Provence next year and would like to see the lavendar in bloom if possible. In Rick's book he mentions that it blooms in late June through July. Do you think the week of June 18-25 would be too early?

We were there early June and lavender wasn't blooming quite yet--your dates should be perfect! Have a great time--the markets were my favorite part of the trip...also the flamingos in the Carmargue region!

It might be but it will depend on where you go. The lavendar blooms earlier in the southern areas and later in the north. I would try to go in July if you can.
