My husband and I are thinking about starting in Barcelona and then just heading toward Provence without specific reservations anywhere. Is this too risky?

I know we are really late planning this. If we did want to make a reservation somewhere, what town/village would you recommend?

I also think you'd be better off booking in advance that time of year.
There are lots of lovely places that might have rooms, depending on the duration of your stay, the things you want to see and do, and whether you will have a car.

Thank you all for your help. I think we will try to make some reservations as I don't want to spend valuable time while I'm there trying to find a place.
