Has anyone been able to make reservations on the www.Alsa.es website? Each time I've tried, the system gives me an error telling me that my bank has refused the transaction. I have called the bank (credit card) several times, and they insist that the problem is not on their end. If someone has any advice, please let me know. I deperately need to book 3 seats on the bus from Madrid to Granada in August. Thanks.
P.S. The Alsa call center folks do not speak English! Argh

MJ, I had the same problem with the bus and train. I called Visa and they told me that they did not see any transactions. I tried purchasing several times with alsa.es and avanza.es. I also tried purchasing on www.movelia.es without success. The only way I was able to purchase the online ticket was choosing Paypal as the payment option. You pay a slightly higher rate...several cents higher than the current exchange rate. It was worth it to ensure that I had a seat. I was there in late March/April 2012 and some of those routes were full. Good luck.

Thanks Jeff and Jennifer, I will try Moveila. I don't have Paypal but if Moveila does not work, I will ask my friends if I can use their Paypal account. Thnaks again.
