We're looking for a guided tour in the Champagne area to visit several of the major Champagne manufacturers. We would be interested in either a tour organized from Paris or a tour guide that could pick us up in Reims.

Sounds like you ned to do a Google seaxrch or contact some of the champagne houses to see who they recommend

The source I use is www.conciergerie.com. You buy your tickets online before you leave home. "The Champagne Discovery Tour" They do an excellent job! A minivan (no more than 6 persons) picks you up early in the a.m. at your hotel and returns you there in the evening. You get to go to Epernay, tour Moet & Chandon caves and have a champagne tasting at the end. You tour the tiny country church where Dom Perignon is emtombed. You get to drive through all the vinyards and see all the countryside between Epernay and Rheims. Then, you have time for lunch in Rheims, time to see the Cathedral, and then you get to tour the G. H. Mum champagne house! You see all the caves, and then have a champagne tasting at the end. It's a wonderful day, makes me dream of being there right now....

A few years ago, my wife and I took a tour of the area and used a tour company called Paris Vision. I was expensive but it was an excellent tour out of Paris. The tour guide took us in a small van (just us, two other woman and another guy). It was an great tour led by a very knowledgable tour guide. We stopped at the House of Mumm (larger Champagne house) in Reims and another smaller champagne house outside of Reims. The tour included lunch and a stop a the cathedral in Reims. They picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel and it was an all day tour.

Paris Vision does some great tours. We have done a few with them
