If it is possible to purchase tickets for the Prado Museum online, what is the website address to do so.

It may be possible but there is no need to do so. Also, it is free during certain hours on Sunday. I think it is free in the AM and then again later in the PM or evening.

Try www.museoprado.es. Click on the English "welcome" and you will see a link for "visit the museum". Follow that link for open hours and ticketing information. It is free, though, every Tues-Sat from 6-8 pm, and Sunday 5-8 pm.
