We are traveling to Poznan, Poland in late October. My understanding is that tourist safety may be a concern. I would like to know the safest area to stay in a hotel, with parking available on-site, and would appreciate any other advice regarding any travel "glitches" we may find in Poland. Thank you.

It's been 3 years' since our last visit, however, we stayed at the Hotel HP Park right on a lake and it was perfectley safe with parking on site.
The only advice I've had was when i was placed in a hotel across from a park and told not to go out after dark, however, the other 2 times, stayed in "Western hotels" with no problems.
