Is there a discounted ticket for the palaces and museums in Potsdam?
Can anyone tell me about what tours are offered there and how much they cost?
For much tourist information regarding Potsdam see http://www.potsdam-tourism.com/tourist-information.html I was very impressed with Potsdam, especially Sanssouci Park.
The palaces all constitute one large parkland complex. All of the buildings are self-touring, and all but the smallest (like the Chinese tea house) provide an audio-guide. Only Sanssouci requires specific entry times, you come and go as you please for the rest. I don't know anything about a discount tickets for all of Potsdam, but for Park Sanssouci, you can either buy individual tickets for the buildings, or an all-inclusive pass that's cheaper than buying a mass of individual tickets. I don't remember the price.
Hi, You can sign up for a tour at the Tourist Office at Potsdam Hbf. located on the top floor. Another way is to pay and board the tour buses across the street from Potsdam Hbf. The cost for a tour I believe is 13 Euro. It includes going to Sans Soucci and Neues Palais, very interesting if you're into Prussian history.
