I've read that you can mail postcards from the Eiffel Tower and that they will have a special post stamp.
So - are you able to buy and stamp the Post Cards there?
Has anyone done this? Thank you for any information.

On the 2nd level there is a post office where you can buy post cards and get them stamped.
You don't have to buy their post cards (which, frankly, are overpriced) to get them stamped and mailed. I bought some cheaper postcards of Paris from the bouquinistes and brought them with me to the Eiffel Tower post office and got them stamped and sent to the U.S.
Excellent - thank you so much! And I will take your advise and purchase post cards before getting there. That's our cheap souvenier - we mail ourselves Post Cards from our travels.
If getting that postmark is important to you, be sure you visit the tower during normal business hours. We were there about 6:30 P.M. in late June and the post office was closed.
Oh that's a good point - I never thought of that. Makes sense though. We will be in Paris for a week so I'm sure we'll be there a few times. Thanks Cynthia!
