Possible to daytrip to Bern from Montreux/Lausanne or from Murren

Trying to slide Bern into my itinerary from either one of these bases... is it doable?

Yes it is doable but do not cut short Lausanne or Murren Lauterbrunnen Valley for it. I spent 5 nights in Murren area and thought it was just right. Laussane I spent 3 nights w/ one jet lag day.
