Planning on visiting The Algarve next summer. With Salema as a planned destination, I'm looking for another town to visit.
Not looking for a golf resort. Suggestions please!!!

My wife and I stayed in the Algarve a couple years ago and enjoyed it. Salema was a joy. Many of the towns along the Med. have condominiums along the coast so are crowded. One thing we did was spend part of a day walking around the southeast corner that juts out into the Atlantic. I think it was called The End of the World. The cliffs and views were fantastic. Be sure to pick a day with good weather if you do this. The last few days after we had our fill of tourist towns, started exploring small towns north of the Algarve. There are some great little places off the main tourist track and a kick to walk around in. Have a great time.
