Have eight days to spend in Portugal beginning of July. would appreciate thoughts how to spend...is the Algarve a must? How about Porto and Druro Valley? Coimbra? If had to choose, a few days in Nazare or in Salema? Thanks!

I really loved Salema so I'd recommend staying a 2-3 nights there--it's very small but the beach and the seafood are great. I haven't been to Nazare. I also liked Lisbon, Coimbra, and Porto. We went to Portugal in 2 separate trips and stayed in Salema and Lisbon one trip then Coimbra (college town) and Porto another. The distances between the 4 cities is probably too far for 8 days--we traveled by bus the first time and rental car the second.
