I am trying to decide between two hotels near Rue Mouffetard... the Port Royal Hotel and the Hotel de L'Esperance. Both look nice. However, I am getting mixed information regarding the bathroom facilities at the Port Royal. Port Royal is advising a Triple with "bath and toilet". However, in the 2013 France book and in many Trip Advisor reviews, the pay per use showers "down the hall" are mentioned. So... would this indicate that the room has a toilet "ensuite" and a bathtub "ensuite". But if I wish to shower (rather than take a bath), I have to go down the hall and pay? Or does this mean that there is a toilet and sink "ensuite", and if I want to wash my entire self.... I need to go down the hall and pay 3 euro? Any help in clarifying this is greatly apprediated :-)
Eric its pretty clear, look at the price differences. Some rooms do not have either a shower or a tub, they are 58 euros a night, I assume they use the shower down the hall. The other rooms offer either a shower or a bathtub at 84 and 89 euros, big price difference because they have private washing facilities in the room.
I always get shower only rooms, the tub rooms usually have only a hand held shower and you would have to sit in tub and shower. I prefer the booth showers.
Thank you When considered from that comparative perspective, it does seem clear. -Eric
